Homs - The Syrian Army has re-taken nine border garrisons alongside the Syrian-Jordanian border from Free Syrian Army fighters in the Rif Dimashq countryside and into the Homs countryside, entering the province from the southwest for the first time. Both frontline axes of the Syrian government are now around 50 kilometers from the US military training outpost at the at-Tanf border crossing with Iraq.

The operations against the FSA-controlled outposts began near the village of Khabrat Radifah, near the border between the two provinces. The taking of the garrisons comes on the heel of increasingly prevalent rumors of rebel forces withdrawing from posts along the Jordanian border and evacuating refugee camps in advance of predicted regime attacks. No casualties on either rebel or government sides have been reported.
