Hama - Hay'at Tahrir ash-Sham has retaken the villages of Sukari and Abu Kahf, as well as the hill overlooking the latter area, from ISIS forces in the northeastern Hama countryside.

HTS have been embroiled in fighting with ISIS since the beginning of the week, the first time the two forces have fought in many months. While HTS originally did not share any frontline, ISIS managed to infiltrate rebel-held territory in Hama after crossing government-held territory and abandoning their original territory that had been surrounded by the Syrian Army.

No official casualty count has been reported by either ISIS or HTS, but one ISIS armored vehicle was destroyed by the group itself to avoid recapture by advancing rebel forces.
