ISIS Takes Palmyra: A Loss For Humanity
Today ISIS managed to capture the city of Palmyra (also known as Talmud) in the centre of the Syrian Desert. After several days of fierce fighting around the outskirts of the town, as well as the nearby gas and oil fields which reportedly killed over 300, Assad regime forces as well the pro-government NDF militias began withdrawing from the city.
